Saint Paul, Minn.(June 2009)-Downtown St. Paul will be buzzing this summer when Cirque du Soleil's "KOOZA" is presented in Cirque's trademark blue and yellow Grand Chapiteau, located in Lowertown's Broadway/Kellogg lot. "KOOZA" will be presented from July 3 through August 2, 2009 and to celebrate, three well-known St. Paul businesses-The St. Paul Grill, Pazzaluna Urban Italian Restaurant and The Saint Paul Hotel – are offering exciting, tantalizing menus, packages, and shuttle services to the shows.
Guests who dine at The St. Paul Grill or Pazzaluna have the chance to experience a specialty "KOOZA" menu along with their regular dining menus and receive a complimentary shuttle to and from the show when making a reservation in the dining room. The shuttle will depart from The Saint Paul Hotel 60 and 30 minutes before show time and will pick up 15 and 30 minutes after the show ends. Reservations are strongly recommended, as space on the shuttles will be limited.
The St. Paul Grill is offering a price fixed "KOOZA" menu for $42 (guests may also choose items a la carte). The menu includes a starter of a Buffalo Style Fried Shrimp with Maytag Dressing for $12; a Spinach and Strawberry Salad for $8 (Baby Spinach with Strawberries, Brie and Poppy Seed Dressing); a Bone-In Pork Tenderloin for $24 (Topped with Garlic, Rosemary and Dijon Butter Sauce on Roasted, Baby Red Potatoes) and a Lemon Pudding Cake for $8 (Sweet Soufflé Forming Natural Layers of Pudding and cake Topped with Fresh Raspberries). Guests may also order off the regular menu.
Pazzaluna’s special "KOOZA" menu is $29 per person and includes a choice of salad: Caesar (Hearts of Romaine, Parmesan, Croutons, Pazzaluna's Caesar dressing) or Mista (Mixed Greens, Shaved Red Onion, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Aged Balsamic, Parmesan) and a choice of entrée: Maile di Manzo (Grilled Pork Chop, Onion Risotto, Apple-Cherry Slaw, Lemon Butter Sauce); Pesce Spada (Grilled Swordfish on Linguini Puttanesca with Spicy Tomato Sauce with Capers, Anchovy and Kalamata Olives) or Rigatono con Pollo (Fresh Rigatoni with Diced Chicken, Smoked Tomatoes, Spinach and a Four Cheese Sauce). To complete the meal, diners may choose from Tiramisu or a Strawberry Panna Cotte. Guests may also order off the regular menu.
The Saint Paul Hotel is offering two packages: "KOOZA Stay and Dine Package," which includes dining at either The St. Paul Grill or Pazzaluna; a deluxe guest room with special room preparations and the complimentary shuttle. The price of the package starts at $199 per night. The second package is a "KOOZA Stay Package," which offers deluxe room accommodations with special turn down service, valet parking; two complimentary drinks in the Lobby Bar and the complimentary shuttle. The price for the stay package starts at $229 per night.
